Home remedies for asthma

There are a number of home remedies for asthma – some more successful than others. There are many "old wives tales" that have been passed down through the years, and many of them are not really effective at all. The best remedy for asthma at home is one that all people with asthma should practice – environmental monitoring.
By controlling the environment, we are talking about controlling things at home that will help prevent asthma attacks. Historically, treatments for asthma have focused on symptoms of an attack after the attack has already begun. The only preventive measure is being offered for many years was "to avoid running and running out of breath."
In recent years, much has been learned about the causes and effects of asthma and now realized that asthma is not simply sit idle waiting for an outbreak. Moreover, like diabetes – a chronic disease that can be influenced by lifestyle and environment.
Why certain things in your home can trigger such as asthma attack, one of the keys to ensure that the control environment of your home. So forget the inhalation of crushed garlic or onion tea – try some of these home remedies that really work:
1. Avoid smoke or let anyone smoke in your house. Cigarette smoking is one of the most common irritants that cause asthma attacks.
2. Do not burn fires in fireplaces or wood stoves – Smoke from fires can also irritate.
3. Be careful what you spray in the air. Things like deodorants, perfumes and cleaning products can reach the lungs and cause asthma attacks.
4. Keep your house as dust free as possible. Mites are one of the most common irritants for people with asthma. And that means not only remove dust regularly, it also means avoiding things that can cause the accumulation of dust
– Use of polyester filled quilts and pillows
– Wash all bedding in hot water (130 degrees) per week
– Cover the mattress and pillow protectors are anti-mite
– Use a vacuum with a HEPA filter that traps dust mites and other allergens. Many gaps simply replied after collection.
5. Avoid the accumulation of mold, once one of the most common triggers of asthma.
– Clean the bathroom and laundry with bleach weekly
– Avoid humidifiers, since they can stimulate the growth of mold
– Use a fan or improve ventilation in bathrooms to reduce moisture
