More than 2 / 3 of all households have pets. However, official estimates of those who are allergic to animals to reach up to 10%. So there is great potential for allergies. But rest assured, there are several effective strategies to deal with those facts.
Allergic rhinitis, rash and other symptoms are mainly the result of contact with animal hair. Dandruff is the collection of tiny skin cells shed by dogs and cats. Incorporated in the hands of caresses and touch the nose, mouth and eyes of food and other activities.
In some cases, the culprit is a protein found in the saliva of the animal. Dogs and cats lick their fur, which deposits of potential allergens in your hair. We pet them and pick it up.
Allergens can also become the air. This means that the closeness, the contact is not only sufficient to move close enough substance to cause problems.
There are other possible sources, and much less common. Poultry waste has proteins that cause a reaction. The mold of the tanks of fish and other water sources are a possibility. But these are a small percentage of the total.
So what should I do?
We love our pets. Getting rid of them is not only acceptable for most of us, even if the result is a runny nose and eyes full of tears. Keep them out all the time is not the preferred solution for many. We like to have around. But there are many good ways to minimize the problem.
Dogs bath once a month can help reduce the dandruff, using the proper shampoo. Otherwise, you can increase the amount of dandruff. Use a shed or control skin care based on oatmeal shampoo to maintain healthy skin and hair.
Cats usually do not tolerate baths, preventive measures are necessary for others. These are effective for people with dogs, too.
Keeping a house Ultra Clean is the best way (prevention, at least in part). Maintain a low amount of dander on surfaces and in air support. Many allergies are mild and accumulate as the "dose" increases allergens.
A good vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter can effectively eliminate a large amount of dander in carpets, furniture and curtains. As shown in the skin cells, you remove the hair that may be covered with saliva.
Since the particles of dander and hair can do and in the air, cleaning the walls from time to time is also positive. At the same time, a good cleaning of bathroom and kitchen will collect mold that grows in damp areas. There are some studies that suggest that an allergy can amplify the effects of another.
Clean yourself well. Wash hands and face after grooming or petting your pet. Maintain the levels of allergens down in your body helps to reduce the likelihood of a reaction. For real sensitive, a good mask used as a preparation can help.
Keep your hands away from nose and mouth. We all eat appetizers, sandwiches and other guys who puts his hand to his mouth. But avoid brushing his teeth with your fingernail. Do not put your finger in the nose. These are cases of direct transmission. This also helps to keep cold viruses, bacteria and other diseases that cause errors in the bay.
